The Alabama Society for Healthcare Executive Secretaries/Administrative Professionals (AlaSHES/AP) was established in 1981 and is an affiliated society of the Alabama Hospital Association. AlaSHES/AP is a non-profit healthcare organization dedicated to executive assistants, administrative assistants and other professionals reporting to healthcare senior management.
Our purpose is to promote understanding and support of healthcare institutions and initiatives and to increase the level of knowledge and standards in healthcare administration support. We offer several educational seminars throughout the year designed to assist you in the ever changing and challenging healthcare industry. One of the most important advantages of membership in AlaSHES/AP is the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other healthcare administrative professionals.
AlaSHES/AP, under direction of the Board of Directors, is an organization of its members. The daily business is overseen by the elected positions of President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer. We have established committees, giving everyone a chance to participate, get involved, and lead our organization so it can truly reflect the needs of all our members.
