Dina
Wheat,
President’s Message
Welcome to AlaSHES/AP website! The Alabama Society for Healthcare Executive Secretaries/Administrative Professionals (AlaSHES/AP) was established in 1981 and is an affiliated society of the Alabama Hospital Association. AlaSHES/AP is a non-profit healthcare organization dedicated to executive assistants, administrative assistants and other professionals reporting to healthcare management. Our purpose is to promote understanding and support of healthcare institutions and increase the levels of knowledge and standards in healthcare administration. We offer three educational seminars throughout the year designed to assist you in the ever changing and challenging healthcare industry. One of the most important advantages of membership in AlaSHES/AP is the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with other healthcare administrative professionals. AlaSHES/AP, under direction of the Board of Directors, is an organization of its members. We have established committees, giving everyone a chance to participate, get involved, and reflect the needs of all our members. I encourage you to become actively involved in some area of our organization so you can experience the full benefits of AlaSHES/AP. We have some excellent programs planned for 2009-2010 that will assist you in your growth in your professional and personal life. It is an honor to serve as your President for 2009-2010, to a caring, loving and great group. Thank you for the opportunity.
